Thousands of people in Taipei turned out recently to have the most colorful day imaginable. They descended upon Dajia Riverside Park (大佳河滨公园) in white T-shirts for a five-kilometer run that included a giant storm of colored powder. Volunteers sprayed a rainbow of colors into the air, and transformed runners into bright works of art.
日前在台北有成千上万人一同度过所能想象最色彩缤纷的一天。他们涌进大佳河滨公园，身着白色上衣，参与被彩色粉末洒满全身的五公里路跑活动。志愿者向空中挥洒一道彩虹，将路跑者转变成为色彩鲜明的艺术作品。
The event is called The Color Run, and its aim is to motivate people to run for fun. In fact, statistics show that more than 60 percent of last year’s Color Runners worldwide took part in their first five-kilometer race. That’s because anyone can join the run, regardless of their age, and people can go as fast or slow as they like in this untimed race. The focus isn’t on winning but rather on enjoying the act of exercising. Everyone participating in the race is required to wear a white shirt, show up on time, and be prepared to be part of a wild explosion of colors. Whether you’re an experienced runner or a novice, this festive and unique race should ignite your passion for running.
此活动称作「彩色路跑」，其宗旨为给予人们「为乐趣而跑」的动机。事实上，统计数字显示去年世界各地的彩色路跑者中有六成是首次参加五公里路跑。这是因为不论老少，任何人都能参与此活动，而且在不限时间的赛跑中，速度快慢全依自己喜好而定。其重点不在获胜，而在于享受运动。每一位参与者只须穿上白色衣服、准时到场，并准备好成为一场猛烈彩色爆炸中的一份子。不论你是身经百战的跑者亦或是新手上路，这项欢乐且独一无二的赛事将点燃你对跑步的热情。
