A 29-year-old woman and her family have made an interesting piece of history in Norway. Hege Jeanette Oksnes has given birth three times since 2006, and each birth occurred within days or months of someone in her family winning the lottery. Oksnes, who serves hot dogs at a gas station on the small Norwegian island of Austevoll, said her family doesn’t even play the lottery much.

Oksnes first gave birth in 2006, days after her father had won the lottery. She had her second child in 2009, the day after she won the lottery. One of Oksnes’ brothers won the lottery on September 22, 2012, a few months after she had her third child. In total, the family has won US$3.9 million so far.

The Norwegian lottery company said it has never seen anything like this case. Although many people credit her family’s good luck to her pregnancies, Oksnes and her husband seem not to be greedy. They said they are quite satisfied now and will not have any more children.
