Alice: Hey Martin, I saw you putting some of your things away in a box earlier. Is everything fine?

Martin: Yes, I’m OK; I just got a promotion to be the head of another department.

Alice: Really? Congratulations! When will you move over there?

Martin: I’m going to my new office tomorrow. I’ll have some meetings with people from that department this afternoon, too.

Alice: Wow, how did this happen? I don’t remember hearing you talk about a promotion before.

Martin: Well, the boss told me that I do a great job of highlighting the best qualities of our products. He was also impressed by how smoothly my projects go.

Alice: I have noticed that you are always so organized. You can come up with an idea and turn it into a finished product very well. What else did the boss say about you?

Martin: He said I work well with others and have shown leadership qualities while working on our projects. He thinks I could inspire the other people in the office.

Alice: That’s true; you know how to talk to people and make everyone around you feel at ease. I should try to be more like you in that sense.

Martin: You can do it too when all the pieces fall into place. It’s just a matter of time and I believe in you.
